In the closing days of January 2004, Mexican investigators in the border city Juarez unearthed the bodies of twelve murdered men.

In Juarez, there was nothing exceptional about a dozen new killings. But the twelve men buried beneath this particular house were different. Their murders came in the midst of a large American drug investigation. Their killers were the target. Their deaths would blow the whole case apart.
