SEPTEMBER 28, 2006 - ICE SPECIAL AGENT IN CHARGE GIOVANNI GAUDIOSO

ICE Special Agent in Charge Giovanni Gaudioso headed ICE's El Paso Field Office at the time of Heriberto Santillan Tabares' arrest. Attorneys representing the family of Luis Padilla and numerous other victims accuse Gaudioso of turning a blind eye to multiple murders. Gaudioso vigorously denies the claim and insists that he and his fellow agents were never in a position to prevent murder. This fall, a federal judge dismissed the civil suit brought against Gaudioso. This is his legal afidavit.
