A RECORD OF PAYMENTS TO ICE'S STAR INFORMANT
Over the course of 3 1/2 years, ICE informant, Eduardo Ramirez Peyro was paid nearly $225,000. In the end, federal authorities would detain their former informant and initiate deporatation proceedings against him. Ramirez Peyro's attorney, Jodi Goodwin, has argued that deportation to Mexico would be tantamount to death for a onetime federal informant. This October, Ramirez Peyro finally won the right to remain in the United States. Nevertheless, he is still being housed in an American detention facility. Ramirez Peyro says that American authorities owe him far more than the $225,000 they have paid him already.
